CALYPSO'S COVE 

Scope:

The Assistant Manager supports all aspects of Calypso’s Cove operations including: guest relations, ticket sales, food service, ride operations, arcade and redemption center, maintenance, cleanliness, team building and team member development and training. This position is also responsible for ensuring safety, policy and regulatory compliance.

Specific Duties:

  • Participate in guest relations by ensuring quality guest service as well as responding to guest issues and complaints.
  • Under the direction of the manager, supervise the daily activities of Calypso’s Cove team members
  • Participate in team member training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the rides, follow specific training, and comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Train team members on proper cash handling procedures and policies in order to ensure accurate cash flow and prevent loss or theft
  • Properly follow specific opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth operations and security of company assets
  • Responsible for safeguarding cash handling to include distribution of cash drawers, banks and ATM funds; accurate and timely response to change requests from cashiers; ensuring the security of the office and safe; and proper collection of monies in preparation of daily deposit
  • Work in collaboration with other departments to support an exceptional guest experience, specifically: the food service department to ensure quality food service operations; group sales representatives regarding special events, birthday parties, and group visits; games management to service, maintain, stock, inventory and safeguard arcade games, tokens and redemption counter items and prevent loss, damage, misuse or theft; maintenance personnel to identify and implement maintenance activities
  • Work with EFWS management to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe environment for guests and team members

Education, Experience and Key Competencies

  • Prior customer service/guest relations experience required
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must possess the ability to perform physical duties including walking, climbing, lifting, pushing and carrying items and equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of team members and guests
  • Ability to professionally resolve guest service issues
