Scope:
Food Service team members work in a variety of food stands assisting guests with their food, beverage and snack purchases. Team members are responsible for the preparation of quality food products and their attractive presentation. Positions include: cook, food preparation, cashier, catered picnics, & bartending. Team members must consistently deliver exceptional guest service.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain and project a positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Follow instructions & recipes exactly to produce consistent food products
- Handle guest sales in a prompt, friendly, courteous manner, using suggestive selling techniques
- Quickly and accurately take in large amounts of cash, operate a cash register and make change by following EFWS cash handling policies and procedures
- Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 35 pounds
- Be familiar with items sold and services offered by EFWS
- Maintain the cleanliness of the shops and surrounding work areas by following proper sanitation procedures
- Work well independently and as a part of a team
- Understand and clearly communicate with our guests
- Perform work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures
- Greet guests, & team members in a professional and friendly manner, answer questions, provide direction and assist in resolving concerns
- Food service team members over the age of 18 could be scheduled to work in one of our bars
- Must be 14 years of age or older (Most food service positions require that you are 16 years of age or older per NYS law, you must be 18 years or older to work as a bartender)
- Exhibit a friendly, cooperative and professional demeanor
- Must be well groomed and willing to comply with uniform guidelines
- Ability to work in groups in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to be on your feet for your entire shift
- Must be comfortable with cash handling
- Must be honest, reliable and trustworthy
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Must be 14 years of age or older (Most food service positions require that you are 16 years of age or older per NYS law, you must be 18 years or older to work as a bartender)
